Y’all still breaking records, and the reason why y’all’s store is averaging $6000 a copy ?Asking for a friend. For years I seen so many bragging about their accomplishments. They were beating their chest. Giving no credit to economic times, No asterisk, just taking all the credit. Look, I know about breaking records and about beating my chest. I managed a Chevy store that netted 10 Million Dollars in three years. ( 2015, 2016, 2017)I know how hard that was. How hard it was to build and keep that culture, how hard it was to pull those results out of thin air. You are either one of two things, and some of you are too green to know the difference.Your results are either process driven, or they are Market driven. Having big-time success simply do to the market is ok. I experienced that too. I ran a top 30 GMC store in the country the year following Katrina. But always gave credit to the conditions that caused that success.Just keep that same energy you had when you was King Kong now that the clock has struck midnight and you are now Curious Gerorge. #AllGasNoBrakes

What to look out for when shopping the high street. Check out my finds in M&S and go watch the video! And here are the 6 questions to ask yourself when you buy from the high street.1. Am I saying ‘it’ll do’, if so walk away.2. Does it get me excited, bring something new or elevated to my wardrobe?3. Would I pay twice the price for it?4. Do I feel amazed that I am buying it from here and not a more expensive store?5. When I put it on do I hold my head up high and feel proud to wear it or is there a niggling feeling that I could do better?6. How does it feel against my skin?To shop my picks visit this board https://lnkd.in/eRaaPnU8

Once again a (very) delayed celebratory post! In 2023 we launched on Nordstrom and it was truly one of the best moments of founding and running BONBONWHIMS. ❤️ 2024 will be full of ups & downs, highs & lows -- and let's be real, tons of humbling challenges ahead as we've all been seeing in retail across the board. But I've personally learned that in times of crisis, there's almost always a corner to turn. As usual, would love to connect with any fellow founders out there. My inbox is open! #entrepreneurship #startup #nycbusiness

One key driver of Red Bull's success 🐂 This morning I saw the display below in my local supermarket. Over and above it being a fantastic retail display (high impact, high consistency with their brand equity... and just fun!), it reminded me of one of the key things that I've always loved about Red Bull's highly successful & innovative strategy:➡ they give easy access to their product wherever their core consumer has the needWhilst most beverage companies defined their distribution strategy based on the classic beverage distribution channels, since the very early days Red Bull was heavily focused on where their core consumers needed 'wings' - i.e. student campuses, nightclubs, petrol stations, etc.Their iconic branded Mini cars (embodied in the retail display below) quickly became a powerful symbol of the Red Bull brand going towards their consumers, rather than expecting consumers to go to them. As well as also being a fantastic visibility driver for the brand, of course! So what?Where does your target customer need the benefit of your product or service the most? How could you make it even easier for them to access your product or service there?#innovator #innovation #howtoinnovate #corporateinnovation #innovationdevelopment #innovationmanagement #retail #display #redbull

Here is a little known fact about me, before going to Uni I spent a year working at John Lewis in the toy department. I absolutely loved this job! I loved it because of the passion of the people I worked with. Everyone knew what they were doing and the customers came first. Here is why, when I joined everyone did a weeks training behind the scenes learning the culture of John Lewis Partnership and its origins, present by someone that had worked in the store in various departments for a number of years. As well as this I had department specific training on products and services, provided by someone who had worked in that department for a number of years. I was set up for success, I was provided a template on how to provide customer service the John Lewis way, and I was bought in! Not only that but the Chairman visited stores and would chat to partners he passed, even me! One time he praised me for my unique Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles display I had made, no reason other than he was walking past and could tell I had spent time on it. (obviously, Splinter and the gang deserve no less). So I wanted to share this article I found as it is so accurate in my opinion. John Lewis lost it's USP. By letting their experienced professionals go they lost what customers loved about them. People were not going there for good value, they were going there for the customer journey.Never loose track of who you are and what your people offer.#customerservice #customerjourney #culture

I went to the Walmart museum a couple of years ago and one of the things that stuck out was Sam Walton’s truck. He was known for never really “upgrading” when he obviously could have driven the nicest or fanciest vehicle out there. Having nice things isn’t a bad thing, but staying grounded is important too.At some point, you might consider if you are driven more by things or by impact. Will I get more cool things? Money, cars, clothes? Or Will I impact more lives, families, organizations. I want to focus on that impact. What kind of #impact are you having on the world? #checkcover3 #recruiting#transportationindustry

May is Merch Month at 797 and we have all kinds of exciting things on the go! Each week we are discussing a different topic and engaging associates in activities to expand their knowledge of the sales floor. Connor and I kicked off week 3 this morning with a huddle in the boys department to discuss this weeks “Merch Minute” on merchandising the kids departments! #tjx #employeeengagement #learninganddevelopment
